Roll up Roll up

Bowral story shared over coffee:

“Hoffman : Searching for relatives of Phil Hoffman who migrated to Australia in early 1950s. Both my father Jim and his brother Phil were captured in Greece during April 1941, escaping the Nazi onslaught by swimming the Corinth Canal.

He, his brother and up to 100 men were freed by Slovenian partisans in August, 1944.The two-week escape through mountains to Semic, where they were flown toNari, Italy is one of the great escapes of World War II. In 2019, descendants of these brave me, who signed a BritishWar Office documents never to discuss or publish their story will return to Slovenia and walk this route in celebration.
