Marc Chagall-Limited Edition Giclee-Exodus Triptych Exodus Series Triptych The signature is in the plate. Edition size is 95. Includes Certificate of Authenticity. Approx. 175 cm x 93 cm Custom framed.

This is pre-loved in mint condition Exodus Series Triptych - Marc Chagall. Limited Edition Giclee on paper. The signature is in the plate. Edition size is 95. Includes Certificate of Authenticity. Approx. 175 x 93 cm Custom framed. Marc Chagall (1887-1985) was a Russian artist of a devout Jewish family. In 1907 Chagall entered the famous Art School in St. Petersburg while working as a sign painter. Throughout his works, there is a foundation of Russian artistic techniques.
In 1910 Chagall was in Paris and became influenced by the Cubist period of art. Chagall is world renown and one of the masters of color. The whole world was his canvas and he filled it with color. Please note: A giclee print is the highest Quality print available today, because there is no visible dot screen pattern. The resulting image has all the subtle tonalities of the original art. Each dot may have over 4 billion possible colors. Brilliant colors and rich texture have made giclee prints the choice for artists, photographers, museums, galleries, and collectors. Unlike traditional printmaking processes, the last printed image in a giclee edition will be as vibrant and clear as the first one.

In 1966, Leon Amiel published The Story of the Exodus, a portfolio containing twenty-four large color lithographs (M. 444–467), twenty-three of which were printed on paper measuring 500x370mm and one double-size plate with a centerfold. The edition consisted of 285 signed portfolios, 250 on Velin d'Arches numbered from 1 to 250, 20 on Japanese paper containing a signed impression of the frontispiece, and fifteen copies reserved for the artist and the others involved in the project. Aside from the 20 signed impressions of the frontispiece on Japan, none of the individual impressions were signed (and if you see a signature on any pieces other than the fronitspiece on Japon paper, it is almost certain that they are forgeries. Although this edition is comparable in size to Chagall's 1960 Daphnis and Chloe portfolio, unsigned images from which sell for $8000-$16,000 for the single-page size, we have priced these at $5250-$5750 unframed. We have been told that galleries in New York City and San Francisco CA are selling them for $6000-$12,000 each. For Chagall's non-Biblical works, please use the link to The Worlds of Marc Chagall.
