The Blog, The Press, The Media: mX: Metro Express
According to its owner, it’s young and sexy, with a no-nonsense "pick me up" approach, but unlike the trains, this Sydneysider promises to make your ride home enjoyable.

Sydney's first new newspaper in 30 years, mX, was released yesterday in all of the CBD train stations and it caused an unprecedented reaction among commuters. The new afternoon colour tabloid, published by News Limited (publisher of The Daily Telegraph), is aimed at young professional commuters aged between 18 and 34

The editor is Brett de Vine writes that mX is ‘Sydney’s newest, brightest and most vibrant newspaper - and it is FREE ... pick it up every weekday’ The editor also accepts responsibility for election comment. Contact details: 9288 2823 - mX is distributed inside seven CBD and North Sydney railway stations. The first issue is 28 pages long with the front page headline screeming Wait Watchers and it is by Matt Sun who sheds a light on the new railway timetable and admission by rail chiefs that train fix will take a while. There is another huge railway story on page 4 entitled ‘Train Speeds up before derailment’ of the Perisher Skitube train. On page 5 a column suggests that mX tells you why your morning train was late. All the late trains are linked to South Sydney rail line.
