Donate Blood with Mate
Today is the day when I am again allowed to invade the Sydney's bloodiest spot without getting into too much trouble from politicians. The Clarence end of the city of exile is where the needle fight will take place...(smile) Even during the heat of the election campaign it is rare to set a sight on a politician near the Blood Banks of the Red Cross. It is rather hard to offer blood on behalf of someone else (hard-irony intended).
One of Australia's defining characteristics is its enduring qualities of mateship. Donating blood is in many ways on of the most generous acts a person can perform.
It is a fact of life that Australia needs over 20,000 donations every week to provide blood to our community. So why not organise to donate with a mate and help save twice as many lives. Call 13 14 95 and make an appointment.

Do Not Ignore the Need for Blood
As my mate, Neville Mullins knows the Red Cross has a new system in place which helps the steady flow of blood donors. When I first hit Brissie 4 years ago there was no such a thing as a national database. From 29 June 2004 it is a whole new game nationally as the new computerised National Blood Management System (NBMS) is being implemented. The next giant step is to create an international database.
Australia's blood supply, just like the Qantas landing record (thanks to Christopher - smile), is among the safest in the world.

To ensure the highest possible standards of safety for donors and recipients, repeat donors are given Australian Red Cross Service Donor Card. Please consider getting one before Christmas 2004 ... Without any doubt this is the priceliest (sic) card anywhere in the world whatever your time zone happens to be!
