Vale Eva

Tatra mountains  born girl and Praha based most of her life,  Eva Hlavackova passed away on the weekend and is joining her mother who left us in February 18 years ago…

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Eva during her 85 years, among them: how to take an accordion 🪗 and break into a song 🎶 at Sparta Praha soccer matches or any family reunion … Eva’s amazing voice and tunes resurrected the ineffable mystery and extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart and spirit …

Eva a loving soul to three sisters Gitka, Lidka late Aga and two brothers Vlado and Jozo. Eva an amazing mother to two of my nephews: Franto and Lado.

A loyal wife who met the love of her life in the romantic city of Praha. Eva’s late husband, Franto introduced her to soccer and her weekends were peppered inside colourful crowds.

Eva’s  kindness and love for meeting new people, her unbridled enthusiasm when it came to strangers’ stories, and infectious laughter made sure that Eva will be missed by those who knew her  well and those who met her only once. .

Though  Eva can no longer wrap me in her signature bear hug, my eldest sister  remains forever in my heart.

Back in July 1997 inside Dad’s rustic veranda … with Mum and Eva

We all know how mamka and Eva liked to laugh and tell stories…
