The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
~ John Hatton often quoted this line inside the NSW Parliamentary chambers
Some men see things as they are, and say why. He dreamed of things that never were and said “Why not”.

As some theatre 🎭 observers headed for Maggie’s and the Enmore Theatre last night to watch “I Catch Killers” few might had been aware that there was a previous play entitled “the murder of the dance floor” taking place the night before last night …
Dance floor collapses during Genesis Owusu concert at Sydney's Enmore Theatre
During the interval a little birdie told us that Gary J is rather fond of Stan’s Series entitled “Stan Lee’s Lucky Man” (so some of us watched it all night after the show)
“People are curious by nature and they want to know what’s behind the closed door. Exploring true crime allows the public to have a look at the dark side of life that most people don’t get to experience.
We like to be shocked and true crime does that.
On top of the curiosity I think most people see themselves as an amateur detective.
I saw that throughout my whole career, people want to offer up their thoughts about what happened and solve those mysteries.
Dipping their toe into true crime allows people to experience the wild side of life vicariously.
The excitement without the risk.
We are going to take you into the life of a homicide detective and the minds of the bad guys.
“We will talk about the cases that have shocked me and changed me.”
~ Gary JUBEKIN
As this is a live performance Mr Jubekin said there is no safety net, no pause button and nowhere to hide.

Gary and Dan: I Catch Killers: The Life and Many Deaths of a Homicide Detective:
THE #1 TRUE CRIME BESTSELLER. Serial killings, child abductions, organised crime hits and domestic murders. This is the memoir of a homicide detective.
WINNER OF 2021 DANGER PRIZE FOR NON-FICTION
Here I am: tall and broad, shaved head, had my nose broken three times fighting. Black suit, white shirt, the big city homicide detective. I've led investigations into serial killings, child abductions, organised crime hits and domestic murders. But beneath the suit, I've got an Om symbol in the shape of a Buddha tattooed on my right bicep. It balances the tattoo on my left ribs: Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. That's how I choose to live my life.
As a cop, I got paid to catch killers and I learned what doing it can cost you. It cost me marriages and friendships. It cost me my reputation. They tell you not to let a case get personal, but I think it has to. Each one has taken a piece out of me and added a piece, until there's only pieces.
I catch killers - it's what I do. It's who I am.
Gary Jubelin was one of Australia's most celebrated detectives, leading investigations into the disappearance of preschooler William Tyrrell, the serial killing of three Aboriginal children in Bowraville and the brutal gangland murder of Terry Falconer. During his 34-year career, Detective Chief Inspector Jubelin also ran the crime scene following the Lindt Cafe siege, investigated the death of Caroline Byrne and recovered the body of Matthew Leveson. Jubelin retired from the force in 2019. This is his story.
