O'Barrell Of Wishes I Have A Dream

Traditionally, this is the time of year when resolutions are broken and our dreams of a fresh start are flushed unsentimentally down the pan. A mere five days into 2003 and already our resolve is starting to weaken, our bottle beginning to go. We start furtively to smoke again, gorge on chocolate, chips, Kentucky Fried Chicken, jump in the car when we intended to walk, slump in front of soap operas when we vowed that if Ken Barlow ever appeared on our screen again we would smash it to smithereens. As someone famously said, the best laid plans of mice and men have a terrible habit of going to pot.
Before I die I would like to abolish poverty as well as popular elections and introduce a democratic jury system for the future senators of Czechoslovakia and Australia.
