Gleebooks is celebrating its 50th birthday in October 2025 with special events, including a large party on Sunday, October 26th. The bookstore, founded in 1975 as a secondhand shop at 191 Glebe Point Road, has grown into a major independent bookseller with locations in Glebe, Dulwich Hill, and Blackheath. If that is the price of slowing ageing, fleeting doesn’t look so bad.
