Now in his second year as artistic director, Lynden Barber is showcasing strong Aussie works, a feast of Latin American, Hong Kong and Middle Eastern flicks and everything from short films to documentaries and film talks at the World Movies Festival Lounge.
Rolf de Heer's Ten Canoes opened the festival on Friday and Morgan O'Neill's Project Greenlight triumph Solo played for the second time on Sunday.
Gillian Armstrong's salute to Sydney wallpaper designer Florence Broadhurst, Unfolding Florence, is a must-see, as is United 93, a focus on the events of September 11.
Footy Chicks looks at the gals on the sidelines and the culture of sex and football, while Brazilian Teen Mothers examines the lives of four pregnant teens in living on the streets of Rio.
