We will always remember June fondly and have wonderful memories of many times spent with her be it during the Easters and Christmases and especially Gabbie’s Christening all those 28 years ago.
June loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to June. She loved a quiet Sunday lunches and weekend dinners with family, friends and a glass of ice 🧊 and white wine in hand.
June often explored deep colours in her still life paintings as she found beauty in the spring camellias and native wildflowers. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met whether at St Marks Church or her drawing classes. We will treasure her blankets she made for Sasha and Gabbie.
Richard recalled how neighbourhood children would gather around the kitchen table for after-school cookies and loved listening to June’s stories about the farm life and her travels.
June’s stories of Molong, Canowindra, Blue Mountains, Cronulla, and Eastern suburbs made Australian history alive.
Het loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.
