Vale John Joseph Daley

John Daley loved his family and friends fiercely. He was an avid gardener and devoted father as well as a labour man who moved to Maroubra, a labour heartland to raise his large family. His Irish ☘️ kindness, strength, and silliness will be remembered by all who knew him

John appreciated Slim Dusty - especially as he was born in the same Macleay country and dairy family   as  John David Gordon Kirkpatrick who was born seven year before John who was born in 1934.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the funeral details for our Dad, John Daley are as follows:

THURSDAY 25 JANUARY 2024
1130 am
HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH 214 MAROUBRA ROAD MAROUBRA

Also from our family - a most heartfelt thank you to all for the messages and flowers and prayers that we received following Dad’s passing last week. The love and support you have all shown our family has helped us all immensely. Bless you all. (I tried to respond to each one but there are just too many)!

Hi everyone. It’s with a heavy heart that I let you know that our beautiful Dad, John Daley has passed away. He was 89. He overbalanced while picking something up in his home on Friday took a tumble, breaking some ribs and doing other damage from which he couldn’t recover.
He passed peacefully at Prince of Wales Hospital surrounded by his family last night.
Our whole family thanks the amazing staff at the Prince of Wales Hospital (Sydney) - doctors, nurses, everyone. Their care, particularly in Dad’s final days has been amazing. They are angels.
He had a great life, full of love. We will miss him forever.
I will keep you posted on his funeral details.
(As recently as NYE he was enjoying his Espresso Martinis!)

PS: John became aware in 2022 that Google search icon said g’day g’day to Slim Dusty
