 DiGiorgio Family Wines is a family owned winery right in the heart of Coonawarra. The Coonawarra winery had been known since the early 1950’s as Rouge Homme and holds enormous importance within the “winescape” of Australia. The winery is renowned for the production of Jimmy Watson trophy winning wines and received numerous other awards for its wines.

In addition to producing premium Coonawarra wines from and Lucindale wines, the DiGiorgio family sources specific varietal fruit from different areas of the Limestone Coast where they believe the terroir is best suited to the variety. These wines make up the Renaissance Range and are a selection of varieties specially chosen to demonstrate the versatility of the region and the passion and ambition of our winemakers.

When visiting our Coonawarra cellar door you will have the opportunity to taste premium wines from our extensive portfolio. The new outdoor room, seating area and large lawn is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine with a ‘pick your own produce’ platter, select from our large range of local and SA produce and we will present it beautifully on a platter for you to enjoy with family and friends. Kids and dogs are most welcome!


The 2018 vintage saw moderate yields combined with a mild summer and consequently long, slow ripening season, perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon. This enabled us to produce wines of beautiful fruit with typical Coonawarra elegance and balance. The softening effect of traditional open top fermentation, and the maturity of the vineyards have given this wine great mouth feel. It is ready to consume now, though it’s Coonawarra pedigree suggests that it will drink well, if cellared in good conditions, for at least 8-10 years.

  • 18 Months in French and American oak, 35% first use, 35% second use, 30% older.
  • Full bodied dry red wine
  • Blueberry, blackcurrant and boysenberry fruit aromas with vanilla and spice characters. Soft, fine tannins with a persistant finish of toasty, spicy oak spilling onto the palate.
