Though obituaries were written long ago, MEdia Dragons π π not only survives but thrives. Since 1982, Bouncing Czechs and MEdia Dragons have linked to thousands and thousands of punchy assessments, stories, webdiary comments, articles, quotes, book reviews, poems and essays at NSW Legislature and Mac computer and other internet revenue related forums and yammers.
“I don’t feel comfortable starting my day without reading the MEdia Dragon as every post tells a multitude of stories π

The truth about blogging is there are millions of abandoned blogs, that over 80% of bloggers quit after the first year, and that very few make it to five years. Hence, twenty years of blogging is worth celebrating.
The tyranny of having a hobby
People fell upon them with desperation during lockdown. Now they’re presented as forms of self-care with the potential to overhaul your life
Here are some snippets of Merton's response to Waugh:
I cannot tell you how truly happy I am with your letter and the book you sent. In case you think I am exaggerating I can assure you that in a contemplative monastery where people are supposed to see things clearly it sometimes becomes very difficult to see anything straight. It is so terribly easy to get yourself into some kind of a rut in which you distort every issue with your own blind bad habits--for instance rushing to finish a chapter before the bell rings and you will have to go and do something else.
It has been quite humiliating for me to find that my out (from Graves and Hodge) that my own bad habits are the same as those of every other second-rate writer outside the monastery. The same haste, distraction, etc. .... On the whole I think my haste is just as immoral as anyone else's and comes from the same selfish desire to get quick results with a small amount of effort. In the end, the whole question is largely an ascetic one! .....
Stranger Things and Thoughts on a Blogging Anniversary
It is hard to believe that in June 2012 (MMXII AD) the Media Dragon turned Ten (10) a decade aka X and in 2022 is hit two kisses XX
It's also not difficult to argue that blogging has done more to spread knowledge and ideas than any other publishing innovation since the printing press. Here's the time warp sandwitched between 12373 posts and 1,745,218 views as at 3 June 2022, which Media Dragon put out there. According to the MErger, MEdia Dragon π is worth $16 Million. [just a bit of legislative joking] The Non-Fungible Tokens are behind "The Merge", by an artist called Pak, was purchased by a syndicate of nearly 30,000 collectors on December 2, 2021. These collectors cobbled together an investment of $91.8 million. It is the only one of the top sellers to be purchased by a samizdat group rather than an individual.
Blogs like This one is all about picking bohemian culture's collective brain for bright ideas across art, media, technology, politics, science, sustainability, music and more: X - Stay-ay-ay just a little bit longer
— Matteo Ricci, who died around this date in 1610 (This Post is Either Quite Late or Somewhat Early ...)
This is so surreal in both the sense where it feels like a lot longer and like I started yesterday.

Twenty years of my blog
I started this blog on June 12th 2002—twenty years ago today! To celebrate two decades of blogging, I decided to pull together some highlights and dive down a self-indulgent nostalgia hole.
