       At The Wire Anjan Basu writes about the 1913 Nobel laureate, focusing not on his writing but rather considering how Rabindranath Tagore's Paintings Reveal His Quest For The World Beyond Words. 
       He's far from the only writer who also tried his hand at drawing or painting, and it's always interesting to see the kind of work they do in another medium.

I think the tone of voice on this blog is exceptional. If only everything was written this way. Its friendly, clear, easy to read and inspiring. I like the way they cover the simple things about photography with posts like “Shoot Different” and “Why your smart phone is the best camera”. Enjoy this site. I did.

The Washington Post has hired a new staffer — and he’s a dog. Seriously, it’s an actual dog. The Post now uses a bomb-sniffing dog as a part of its security team. I reached out to The Post, who confirmed that it has access to a security dog, but it would not reveal the name of the dog or its breed. I sincerely hope it’s Woodstein.
