RIP Peter Coleman

In the 1980s and 1990s I used to bump into Peter Coleman at the NSW Parliamentary Library during weekdays and the St Mark’s Church on Sunday’s as he was the regular bell ringer  🔔  ... Now former Speaker  Kevin Rozzoli is in an earshot of these religious bells...

Former politician and acclaimed writer Peter Coleman, AO, is being remembered by family and friends as a man with an “accomplished career” following his death on Sunday night.
His son-in-law, former treasurer Peter Costello, said Mr Coleman was a “a very distinguished writer and thinker” and a "man of letters".

"He will be remembered as one of Australia’s foremost conservative literary individuals," Mr Costello said.
Mr Coleman went to North Sydney Boys’ High School, before attending the University of Sydney and the London School of Economics. He then went to teach in Sudan for a year.
