Susie McMeekin of Heaven and Earth fame: Blue Mountains Potter

There is something truly magical about having a piece that is not only handmade, but one-of-a-kind, in your home.

  • Father - McMeekin, Ivan – IM (impressed) with crossed pick and shovel (impressed) from 1954-1959, IM (impressed) from 1954-1993 [Ford]
  • McMeekin, Susie – SM (impressed)

Knowing that you are the only person who owns that piece and that it’s different and unique to anything else out there.

Three established ceramics artists who are also Rural Fire Service fire fighters,
have joined  forces in Sydney to present 'One Foot on the Black',
an exhibition celebrating their shared professional and volunteer commitments.

• Susie McMeekin (South Katoomba Brigade)

• Gail Nichols (Mongarlowe Brigade)
• Geoff Thomas (Biddon-Bulga Brigade)

This is what attracts media dragons to clay as handmade pottery becomes a talking piece due to its individuality and craftsmanship. Introduce something into your home that is completely one of a kind and different than anything else on the market.
