Daily Dose of Dust
Jozef Imrich, name worthy of Kafka, has his finger on the pulse of any irony of interest and shares his findings to keep you in-the-know with the savviest trend setters and infomaniacs.
''I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.''

This is how it always is when I finish a poem. A great silence overcomes me, and I wonder why I ever thought to use language."
- Rumi
If my heart were made of bread
I would wait at least one moment
before breaking the sunrise
I have nothing left to lose ...
Even sparrows come alive in Spring: Laying the Cold River Gently Down for Book Signing
Have you ever asked yourself, How am I ever going to sell my book? Well, while the answer isn't quick and easy, it is something that anyone can do. Selling your books is essentially a matter of making friends, lots of friends. Companies like Longueville Media are designed to help you make more friends, sell more books, and have more fun doing it ... Do you want to sell your books in Australia or overseas? Are you looking for foreign rights sales or distribution? Then try blogging and help yourself by helping your distributors ...
Of course, blogging is not perfect, but the fact that it has democratised the tools to enable the larger human processes to find an outlet is the primary reason for it's success. Sometimes when I pick up a blogging pen it leaks gold all over the tablecloth ... Without Google and Blogger books like Cold River would have dried out ... Bloggers waste no time drawing out the first irony of fighting. It's better fought and lost than never fought. Most bloggers know that the coward's heart is chained, and never can ...
We can't get out of something that is inside us. So there comes a time to stand for what you know ... These eyes of mine create blog daily in order to understanding time and place At our appreciative moments, at our most deeply felt moments- love, marriage, the birth of children, divorce, the death of family members and friends - we look for deeply felt language. When we reflect on our lives, the meaning of our work, our relationships, we don't read the sports pages. We need something more - a way to express what we keep calling the inexpressible and go right on trying to express. We depend on deeply felt language to gauge what we feel and how we feel about what we feel. That deeply felt language - language that uses rhythm, sound, metaphor - has a name. It's called poetry.
Distribution of a book is a critical piece of the publishing puzzle, yet most new authors seem to think it will magically open up to them once they publish a book. The only thing that will magically open up is your wallet. My book is at the moment with two largest distributors, Ingram Books, which Double Dragon and Lightning Source publishers get access to, and Baker&Taylor, with whom almost any publisher can sign up. However, Baker&Taylor doesn't automatically stock books for small publishers. When talking about the publisher's cost of book distribution, it doesn't mean much unless the distributor keeps the publisher's books in stock. Some bookstore ordering software won't process an order unless the title shows as "in stock" at the distributor. While in-stock status at a national distributor is essential to selling books in quantity through retail outlets, it can carry a heavy price. Book distributors who deal with small publishers usually require a discount between 65% to 75% off the cover price. In other words, they pay the publisher between 25% to 35% of the cover price on books they actually sell. The books must be returnable, and they will often be returned in beat-up condition that renders them unfit for sale elsewhere.

By most measures of success, poetry is the intrusive scribbling of spacy dreamers that's not what our most famous physician/poet William Carlos Williams thought. For him poetry was vital: men die miserably every day/for lack/of what is found there
Sometimes the only way out
is to die, but happily
someone else escapes,
takes to the road, goes on
traveling ...
