Over time, the task of making a living and raising a family tends to exert a steady rightward pull on the politics of most every angry young man and woman. The Blog, The Press, The Media: Tim Dunlop: Blogger Proves Better Man
Like a lot of columnists, Henderson had his moments, but he was pretty dull; quite predictable

But he's hardly alone in that respect. I'd happily see an end to Phillip Adams, Alan Ramsey and Greg Sheridan on the same grounds. Ackerman and Bolt are so bad it's embarrassing, but I'd be glad to see Devine and Albrechtsen stay, and just as happy to keep criticising them. Paul Kelly is on his last legs, Frank Devine is dead to me, and I barely read Shannahan or Wood. McGuinness: good riddens. I'd miss that photo of Salusinszky next to hs column, though not the column itself. Pamela Bone? Ner. Carney and Parkinson I can stand, and remain a big fan of Ken Davidson. Hugh McKay and Robert Manne can join Gerard, not because they're bad but because they mistake earnestness for gravitas. If I never read another word by Paul Sheehan, Helen Garner or Terry Lane, I'm pretty sure I'd survive.
